The Speech And Learning Coach is a progressive and leading-edge learning and communication center that focuses on creating significant changes and incredible results!

Our programs draw upon 20+ years of clinical trials and brain-training research by neuroscientists, such as Michel Merzenich, Ph.D., that prove (through pre- and post-testing on functional MRI), that the brain has plasticity and can continue to change and improve throughout our life-span!
Our programs are effective because we focus on building neuropathways in the brain. The new neuropathways allow the brain hemispheres and key areas in the brain to communicate with each other faster. The end result is clear and efficient learning and communication, better grades, and improved confidence!
History
The Speech And Learning Coach was started in 1993, in Arroyo Grande, California, by Karyn Lutes, MA, CCC-SLP, a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist, and CA Credentialed Teacher.
Karyn remained curious about the latest brain research and how that research could help her to make better and faster results in the children, teens, and adults that she worked with.
After working in school districts, hospitals, and private practice, Karyn decided to expand her influence by hiring passionate and effective Speech and Language Pathologists and Therapeutic Learning Coaches to make greater changes.
As a group, The Speech And Learning Coach Team follows a mission that includes:
